Do I have to fill in everything the dashboard suggests?
No. Claiming your profile takes a bar number and a verified email, and nothing beyond that is ever required. A claimed profile with nothing else filled in is listed, searchable and contactable. Every suggestion has a Not now beside it, and anything you decline twice is never offered again.
The dashboard suggests at most a few things at a time, and only on a page you opened yourself. Skipping one puts it away for several months; skipping it a second time retires it permanently.
