How do I claim my profile?
Find your record, confirm your bar number, and the registry sends a one-press link or a code to the email or phone the State Bar holds for you. Using it proves it is you and signs you in; there is no password to choose. The link lasts 24 hours. If your record has no contact the registry can use, a person verifies you instead.
- Search for yourself by name or bar number.
- Confirm the record is yours.
- Open the link sent to your address of record. That signs you in and finishes the claim.
The link goes only to the contact the regulator holds, which is what makes using it proof of identity; an out-of-date contact is updated with the regulator. When the record has no email or phone the registry can send to, or only a shared one, the claim goes to identity review: you give an email and a phone number, confirm one of them with a code, attach your bar card or a government ID, and sign a declaration, and a person decides.
