Reviewing clients' casesFor attorneys

How do I respond to a case?

Open the case review section of your dashboard, search the matters open for review, and take up one you want to read. Then either pass, which frees your place for someone else, or send terms: a short proposal with your fee arrangement, which the client can read and ask you about before deciding.

  1. In the case review section, look under Open for review. The filters start at your own practice areas and county and you can widen them to the whole state.
  2. Take up a matter to read it. The list shows how many attorneys already hold each one; at 5 it is no longer listed.
  3. Pass, or send terms by choosing a fee arrangement and filling in what it needs.
  4. Answer the client's questions in the thread. If they accept, their contact details are shared with you.

A proposal is an offer to discuss representation, not legal advice and not an agreement: nothing is agreed until you and the client sign your own fee agreement, and the registry is not a party to it.
