How do I send a matter to another attorney?
From the referral workspace, describe the matter as a blind summary and either send it to an attorney by name or post it for review. You state the division you are offering as a band — there are 7, up to 10% through up to 50% — and the actual split is the agreement you both sign.
- Open the referral workspace and start a new referral.
- Write the blind summary: the work, the posture, the county. No client identity.
- Choose the division band you are offering, then send or post it.
The band is what you advertise; the CRPC 1.5.1 agreement you both e-sign is what binds. The registry generates that paperwork and keeps a record of it.
