What happens when I contact an attorney through the registry?
Your message goes to that attorney and nobody else. The registry carries it and steps out of the way — it does not screen what you wrote, does not pass it to anyone else, and does not decide who hears from you. Whether and how quickly they reply is up to them.
Contacting an attorney through the registry does not create an attorney-client relationship, and what you write is not confidential or privileged until one of you agrees to it. Say enough to explain why you are reaching out; keep the rest until you have engaged them.
The registry never chooses an attorney for anybody, and no attorney can pay to be shown to you ahead of another. Reading the records and deciding is your part, on purpose.
