Why won't it accept my email address?
Before anything is sent, the registry checks that the address's domain has a mail server. If it does not, anything sent there would never arrive: not your sign-in link, and not an attorney's reply. You are asked to correct it, and a likely typo of a common provider is suggested for you.
The check looks only at the part after the @, never at whether anybody has an account. If the check itself cannot run, you are not stopped. A typo that points at a real mail server may be accepted, so read the address back before you send.
