How do I file a case?
Describe what happened in your own words, say roughly where and when, and add anything you have, up to 10 files, and a phone photo of a letter counts. It costs nothing and takes a few minutes. You can come back and change it afterwards.
- Say what kind of problem it is and where you are.
- Describe what happened. Plain words are fine; nobody expects legal terms.
- Add any documents or photos, then give the email you will use to get back into the file. If it cannot receive mail, you are asked to correct it before anything is filed.
Filing does not create an attorney-client relationship and nothing you write is confidential or privileged. Say enough to explain the problem; keep the rest until somebody has agreed to act for you.
