Claiming your profileFor attorneys

What happens to my profile if I retire or leave practice?

Your record follows The State Bar of California's roll, so a change of status there arrives here on its own. You can hide your listing from the public at any time, and cancel a membership separately — neither deletes anything, and both are reversible.

A profile belongs to one licensed attorney and cannot be shared between two: it is tied to a bar number, which is what makes the verification mean anything. A firm with several attorneys has several records.

Changing firms is an edit to your own details, not a new profile. The record stays yours.
